Dr Jaime Awe, Director of the Institute of Archaeology in the National Institute of Culture and History in Belize, briefs local media on the Archaeological project at the Santa Rita Maya site. The project is made possible by a $100,000 BZD grant from the U.S. Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation.
Honored guests included Margaret Hawthorne, Deputy Chief of Mission, and Eric Heyden, Public Affairs Officer, both of the U.S. Embassy in Belize.
